Circular Economy - It's great what you can do with old tyres! 1

With our campaign at Berlin Central Station as part of the German Sustainability Action Days we want to raise public awareness of the issue of sustainability and encourage more people to act sustainably. We want to reach all groups in society: private individuals, schools, young people, government offices, children, nurseries, local authorities, politicians, entrepreneurs, students, associations, clubs, environmental initiatives, authorities, architects - because everyone can do something. We need to think and act differently and, above all, we need to be open and unreservedly receptive to new products and technologies.

NEW LIFE is an association of various companies, some of which have been involved in tyre recycling for decades. Around 570,000 tonnes are generated every year in Germany alone. On average, every German citizen - large or small, car driver, cyclist or pedestrian - generates one used tyre per year. This is because not only the tyres on private cars are counted, but also the tyres on buses, trucks, tractors, vans, rental vehicles and construction vehicles. If you were to put all these tyres in a row, you would circle the globe.

It is therefore only sensible and right to use this mass of used tyres in the interests of Circular Economy multiple uses. The companies in NEW LIFE are committed to this utilisation. They use ELT (the material that is made from old tyres) to produce new, fantastic products. Products how: Sports fields, fall protection surfaces for children's playgrounds, stable mats so that animals can stand on soft surfaces, sealants, rubber asphalt, artificial turf, vases and soft paving stones, noise barriers and playground accessories.

It is smart for our future and our environment to utilise recyclable materials as often and for as long as possible before they are incinerated. NEW LIFE promotes this multiple use - join us.
