Sustainably renovate and upgrade playgrounds to make them child-friendly

The foundation for child- and climate-friendly play in Germany

Zhirds of the almost 100,000 children's playgrounds in Germany are in need of renovation and are not very inviting for our children. We want to change this together and show how playgrounds can be sustainably renovated in a child- and climate-friendly way.

The partners of the NEW LIFE initiative offer high-quality recycled products made from tyre rubber granules and solutions for the individual design, upgrading and refurbishment of playgrounds of all types and sizes. The spectrum ranges from elastic fall protection surfaces and weatherproof edging for playgrounds or sandpits to durable, child-friendly play figures in a variety of shapes, colours and designs.

Germany's dilapidated playgrounds

All playground refurbishment cases are clearly presented on an interactive map of Germany. All playgrounds that have been nominated by 30 April 2024 can win a sustainable fall protection surface.
