Sustainably better for the green: Successful NEW LIFE premiere at GaLaBAU 22

At the GaLaBAU 22 innovation trade fair, the NEW LIFE initiative received a thoroughly positive response at its premiere. At the well-attended NEW LIFE stand in Hall 7, sustainable solutions for future-oriented garden, landscape and sports ground construction were presented to around 62,000 visitors from 76 countries. The idea of a forward-looking circular economy with the use of sustainable used tyre recycling products, which NEW LIFE vividly communicated with brochures and exhibits made of rubber granulate (ELT), met with great approval and high demand. The NEW LIFE partners present in Nuremberg were also more than satisfied with the success of the trade fair.

The international trade fair focussed on the topic of "Climate-proofing the future together". Visitors to the NEW LIFE stand were also able to experience approaches and ideas relating to climate protection. In addition to attractive, multi-coloured exhibits made of pressed rubber granulate (ELT) for various applications in landscaping, visitors to the stand had the opportunity to touch sustainable rubber granulate of different particle size distributions with their own hands.

The high-quality and sustainable recycled products made from rubber powder and rubber granulate (ELT) were very well received. These are weather-resistant, durable, non-slip and can be customised in terms of shape and colour, which opens up attractive design options for landscaping companies. The use of sustainable NEW LIFE recycled products in landscaping also helps to conserve natural resources and avoid waste and CO2 emissions.

Owners and employees of landscaping companies, as well as numerous representatives from local authorities, were particularly interested in fall protection surfaces for playgrounds and kindergartens. Fall protection surfaces made of sustainable ELT rubber granules protect children reliably, barrier-free and hygienically from injuries caused by falling - even from great heights. In addition, according to a recent NEW LIFE study, the low-maintenance ELT fall protection surfaces are more cost-effective for cities and local authorities in the long term than surfaces with loose bulk materials.

The NEW LIFE stand visitors also included numerous trainers and trainees as well as teachers and students from vocational colleges from all over Germany and Austria, who were just as impressed by the sustainability concept as they were by the range of sustainable landscaping products made from rubber granulate (ELT). Over the next few months, we will be jointly considering how NEW LIFE can possibly support the training sector in landscaping in the future. Last but not least, the trade fair in Nuremberg offered the opportunity to talk face-to-face with representatives from various gardening and landscaping associations and to explore opportunities for cooperation.
