The NEW LIFE initiative is taking part in the German Sustainability Action Days. Under the hashtag DEEDS FOR TOMORROW, the NEW LIFE sustainability quiz invites people to playfully expand their knowledge of the ecological and economic benefits of recycling used tyres. The aim is to encourage as many people as possible to rethink and act more sustainably. From 20 September 2022, participants will also help decide which local, sustainable tree will be planted by NEW LIFE in Willich's Bürgerwald forest.
Who knows, for example, how many tonnes of CO2 emissions are saved each year by recycling used tyres in Germany? Or how many used tyres recycled into rubber powder are needed to produce one kilometre of rubber-modified asphalt? The NEW LIFE sustainability quiz is a fun way to find out. For each day of the campaign (20 to 26 September 2022), NEW LIFE has prepared a question on an important sustainability aspect of used tyre recycling with four alternative answers. If you get the answer wrong, you have the chance to try again. The correct answer is followed by a comprehensible explanation: https://de.research.net/r/CHV2SZL.
Sustainability quiz winners are people, the environment and the climate
The winner is every quiz participant who has been able to expand their knowledge of the opportunities and possibilities of recycling used tyres. But the winners also include the climate and the environment - because the environmentally friendly recycling of used tyres helps to avoid waste, reduce CO2 emissions and protect natural resources.
With the last sustainability quiz question, participants can also decide which native, climate-friendly tree is to be planted by NEW LIFE in the Willich Bürgerwald forest at the end of the campaign days. We look forward to as many quiz participants as possible and are excited about the tree choice.
