NEW LIFE magazine is published in English
Willich, 14.10.2021 In summer, the NEW LIFE initiative published the second issue of the NEW LIFE magazine in German. The publication, which focuses on the topics of sustainable used tyre recycling and innovative products made from ELT (end-of-life tyres), is now also available in English.
In the new magazine, the NEW LIFE initiative presents new developments and impulses from the tyre and recycling sector on forward-looking ways of resource-saving used tyre recycling in the sense of the circular economy. The partners of the NEW LIFE initiative are companies that recycle ELT or produce high-quality and durable products from recycled tyres, such as floor coverings for playgrounds and sports fields, sealants, rubber asphalt, artificial turf or noise barriers. The aim of the NEW LIFE initiative is to make multiple and efficient use of used tyres in order to protect the environment and raise awareness of resource conservation and the circular economy among as many people as possible. With the new issue in English, international readers can now also benefit from the information.
Bundled knowledge on used tyre recycling
The NEW LIFE initiative strives for a cross-industry exchange between companies, associations, environmental organisations, science and politics in order to jointly shape the disposal of used tyres in an ecologically and economically sensible way. The new magazine features interviews with politicians and the German Federal Environmental Foundation, information on the controversial polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and the use of secondary raw materials by local authorities, current figures on used tyre recycling in Europe and many examples of sustainable products made from ELT material that offer many benefits for people and the environment.

About NEW LIFE:
NEW LIFE's partners are Conradi+Kaiser living industries, Estato Umweltservice, Genan, KRAIBURG Relastec, KURZ Karkassenhandel, Melos, MRH and REGUPOL BSW. In Germany alone, around 583,000 tonnes of used tyres are generated each year that need to be recycled. The resulting recycled products, in particular rubber granules and flour, are ideal for the resource-saving development of innovative products in a wide range of applications. These partner companies of the NEW LIFE campaign have set themselves the goal of promoting sustainable products made from ELT and sensitising people to conscious consumption.
