NEW LIFE is setting an example for a climate-friendly future at the start of the new year. Under the motto „ZERO WASTE INSTEAD OF ZERO FUTURE“, NEW LIFE will be presenting the advantages, opportunities and possibilities of mechanical tyre recycling at Green Week 2026 in Berlin. At the heart of the newly created ZERO theme island in Hall 27, visitors can experience the topic of „zero waste“ up close: the entire ZERO stand area (around 267 m²) will be equipped with a sustainable exhibition floor made from single-type tyre rubber granulate from MRH Mülsen. NEW LIFE looks forward to welcoming visitors to stand 326.
Zero waste at every turn: exhibition flooring made from tyre rubber granulate
The exhibition floor made from recycled commercial vehicle tyre granulate is more than just a sustainably robust and easy-care surface for the ZERO theme island – it is also a symbol of the circular economy in action. It is manufactured in Germany with short transport routes and in compliance with the highest environmental and quality standards. By using the secondary raw material tyre rubber granulate, the flooring contributes square metre by square metre to avoiding waste, conserving resources and saving energy and CO2 emissions.
The non-slip, elastic rubber mats prevent fatigue, back pain and joint problems – for exhibitors and guests alike – even on long exhibition days. The floor is comfortable to walk on, reduces impact noise and is easy on the back and the environment. It has high compressive strength and abrasion resistance. The smooth, dirt-repellent surface is very easy to clean. Thanks to the puzzle click system, the mats are easy to lay – without any adhesive – and can be quickly packed up again after the trade fair.
Clear the stage for the circular economy in Hall 27
NEW LIFE is also participating in the varied programme on the main stage in Hall 27 and in special events at Green Week in Berlin. On Wednesday, 21 January 2026, NEW LIFE will be part of Green Week's Startup Days – the meeting place for young companies with green ideas. On the main stage at around 3:40 p.m., Daniel Schockmann from Regupol will show how the recycling of tyres is opening up new avenues for climate-friendly circular economy. He will present forward-looking recycling solutions that are not only ecologically beneficial but also economically viable.
On Friday, 23 January 2026, NEW LIFE will take part in SPIELRAUM:TALKS – a specialist conference on sustainable play areas and open spaces in towns and communities. The event is aimed at decision-makers from local authorities, social associations and planning offices. Sabine Rehberg (Regupol), Dr Georg Maxein (Conradi+Kaiser) and Rolf Hertrampf (MRH Mülsen) will present a topic to 120 invited guests that is of fundamental importance for safety, operating costs, sustainability and inclusion in play areas: fall protection solutions made from tyre rubber granulate.
Elastic safety flooring made from recycled tyre rubber granulate can be laid as a seamless surface or in the form of elastic tiles. It meets the highest standards of safety, appearance and climate protection in indoor and outdoor areas. The sustainable rubber floors are robust, weather-resistant, non-slip, easy to maintain and protect against serious injuries in falls from heights of up to three metres. The flooring, which is available in various shapes, colours and designs, opens up new design possibilities, enables barrier-free access to play areas, helps to protect the budget and contributes to optimising the ecological balance of local authorities and associations.
