These valuable raw materials would simply be incinerated elsewhere and pollute our environment."

Recycling is part of the company's DNA
In addition to its goal of offering architects, planners and decision-makers a customised solution for their construction project, resource-saving production is extremely important to REGUPOL. And has been for more than 65 years.
Recycling has been part of the company's DNA since it was founded in 1954. Since then, REGUPOL has dealt almost exclusively with the recycling of elastic raw materials.
Above all, this includes the processing of production offcuts that would otherwise be disposed of. At REGUPOL, these offcuts are reintroduced into the production process so that most of the offcuts are recycled within the company. In total, around 90,000 tonnes of elastomers are recycled each year.
Modern architecture and sustainability
Less visible than in a prestigious stadium or on a large outdoor surface, but nevertheless no less important and demanding, are the REGUPOL Products for Impact sound insulation and Vibration isolation in modern architectural projects. Roof terraces and pools in building complexes are decoupled, as are large hotels next to trams or in noisy environments. To a large extent, these recycled products consist of End-of-life tyres. They are used worldwide in attractive and
modern projects. These include the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, The Shard in London, the Elbphilharmonie concert hall in Hamburg and various well-known hotels on the the whole world. One of the latest prestigious projects with REGUPOL products is the Kö-Bogen in Düsseldorf. It is located on the famous Königsallee, the so-called "Kö". The building complex in the Rhine metropolis houses shops and offices as well as flats. The modern building was awarded the LEED Platinum certificate for sustainable construction. This primarily relates to the use of renewable energies and the use of resource-saving building materials. The latter point also includes, for example, the REGUPOL Impact sound insulation under screed. Around 9,000 square metres were installed in the Kö-Bogen in multifunctional business premises. The product consists of over 85 per cent made from recycled material.
But it is not only this fact that makes it so sustainable. The REGUPOL products are extremely robust and durable. This means that both Conserving resources as well as Costs minimised.
