Lammsbräu Prize for Sustainability 2025

NEW LIFE is delighted to announce that our initiative is one of the finalists for the prestigious Lammsbräu Prize for Sustainability 2025! The jury has nominated NEW LIFE in the category "Entrepreneurial partnerships for a sustainable future" - in recognition of our partners' joint commitment to climate-friendly, circular used tyre recycling. Every vote counts for the Lammsbräu Audience Award: https://www.lammsbraeu-publikumspreis.de/

"This nomination is both a confirmation and an incentive for us," says Network Coordinator Christina Guth. "It shows that our consistent collaboration for a sustainable circular economy is being recognised and appreciated."

Since 2002, the organic brewery Neumarkter Lammsbräu has been awarding its sustainability prize to people, organisations and companies that are committed to a better future with courage and innovation. Lammsbräu itself also stands for sustainable management with its commitment to organic farming. The fact that NEW LIFE is now named as a finalist in this environment shows that the circular economy is becoming increasingly important - also in the public perception.

The award ceremony will take place on 3 July 2025 in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz. The public can vote for their own sustainability champions - every vote for NEW LIFE counts: https://www.lammsbraeu-publikumspreis.de

NEW LIFE stands for innovative ways of dealing with used tyres. Together with eight partner companies, we promote the recycling of tyres that can no longer be retreaded or reused. The used tyres are turned into high-quality recycled products - such as insulating materials made from textile fibres, pure steel wire for the steel industry or versatile rubber granulate.

✅ Up to 95 % recycled content
✅ 85 % CO2 savings during production
✅ Use in playgrounds, PV roofs, noise protection & infrastructure

Utilisation is largely carried out regionally by medium-sized companies. This creates jobs, strengthens local value creation and reduces dependence on imports. In addition, our NEW LIFE goes to school learning portal provides young people with practical knowledge about recycling, environmental and climate protection - free of charge and nationwide.
In 2023, around 166,000 tonnes of waste could be avoided and over 116,000 tonnes of CO2 saved through material recycling. A strong signal for the circular economy - and one more reason to vote for NEW LIFE in the public award!
