NEW LIFE has joined the Bundesverband GebäudeGrün e.V. (BuGG), which is committed to the nationwide expansion of green roofs with photovoltaic systems, which can be perfectly combined with each other.
Green roofs are good for the urban climate, store rainwater, cool the environment in summer and provide valuable habitats for plants and animals. The evaporative cooling of the green roof leads to an increase in the efficiency of photovoltaic systems, which reduce CO2-free electricity generation.
Durable, weather- and fire-resistant building protection mats made of recycled rubber granulate (ELT) ensure that the green roofs are sustainably protected against damage and moisture and that the photovoltaic systems remain securely in place: https://initiative-new-life.de/presse-und-medien/nachhaltige-basis-von-klimaschutz-und-energiesicherheit-bautenschutzmatten-aus-recycling-gummigranulat-elt.
The BuGG is a trade association and interest group for companies, cities, universities, organisations and all interested parties in the field of building greening (roof, façade and interior greening), with currently around 430 members. NEW LIFE was welcomed by the BuGG office as a new member "with great pleasure". We look forward to a good, constructive co-operation.
