Title of the Sustainability Yearbook 2021, Waste tyre recycling, rubber recycling and circular economy

The Sustainability Yearbook 2021 with the subtitle "Sustainable Business: Introduction, Topics, Examples" has just been published by Berlin-based metropolitan Verlag. It presents the NEW LIFE initiative, among others. The book is all about the circular economy. Every year, the Earth Overshoot Day, the day on which all usable resources are exhausted for the year, moves forward. To stop this development, it is essential to use less energy, water and raw materials. This is why Europe has put resource conservation on the agenda with the Green Deal. The goals of the Green Deal are the perfect circular economy and climate neutrality. The Sustainability Yearbook 2021 aims to provide impetus for tackling these growing challenges. Aspects and new developments in the areas of circular economy, recycling, supply chain legislation, biodiversity and the economy, EMAS and DNK are highlighted. Best-practice examples from well-known companies such as edding AG and Werner&Mertz will illustrate what implementation can look like in practice. In addition, relevant networks and organisations will be presented. In addition to NEW LIFE, these include the Used Tyre Recycling Innovation Forum (AZuR)which Circular Economy Initiative Germany and UN Global Compact. The publication is rounded off with an overview of important competitions and useful certificates.
