Two thirds of the almost 100,000 children's playgrounds in Germany are in need of renovation and are not very inviting for our children. We want to draw the public's attention to this deplorable state of affairs nationwide and help to renovate playgrounds in a child- and climate-friendly way. In a competition, dilapidated and neglected playgrounds can be nominated for refurbishment until the end of April 2024. The playgrounds with the greatest need for refurbishment will then be voted on for a month. The three playgrounds with the most votes will win an elastic fall protection surface made of sustainable tyre rubber granulate*.

Anyone can take part in this competition and - together with friends, parents, grandparents, day-care centres or primary schools - campaign for the renovation of their playground. If you know of a playground in your town or community that is in urgent need of renovation and hasn't seen any smiling children for a long time, you can simply submit it with a photo, address and brief description for the Nominate refurbishment.
