Now online: NEW LIFE provides training for gardeners and landscapers
The self-image of contemporary gardening and landscaping is based on a responsible approach to the environment and natural resources. Under the motto NEW LIFE goes to school, we support teachers and trainers in communicating the importance of environmental protection, the circular economy and sustainable recycling products in landscaping to pupils and trainees in a contemporary way: https://t1p.de/SCHULE.
The innovative, free-to-use online learning programme for schools, vocational colleges and training companies is divided into eight modular lessons of 90 minutes each. These can be flexibly integrated into lessons and training programmes. The topics range from environmental protection and sustainability, the circular economy and raw materials to the practical use of sustainable recycled products made from tyre rubber granulate in gardening, landscaping and sports ground construction.
Short films are offered as an introduction to the topic, which can be viewed and discussed with the class. Suggestions and suitable materials for group work are provided in teamwork modules. For example, pupils can complete an environmental protection checklist or develop ideas for garden objects made from recycled materials. Varied learning games in each lesson allow for an entertaining, playful approach to the subject matter.
The offer also includes interactive modules in which pupils/trainees can intuitively try out and discover application and design options for sustainable recycled products made from tyre rubber granulate. A quiz at the end of each lesson allows students to playfully test what they have learnt. Teachers and trainers can order a free sample pack to help them better communicate the lesson content. Pupils and trainees receive a certificate for successful participation.
