How can cities be made sustainably climate-friendly for the future? How can waste, CO2 emissions and noise be reduced? How can people and animals, nature and technology live together in harmony? With recycling magic, magical expertise and a large dose of imagination, the good NEW LIFE tyre fairy has been bringing colour and new life to our cities for months. Now, following the conclusion of an ideas competition, the name of the fairy godmother has been decided: TIRELLA!
When we called for names for the magical ambassador of mechanical tyre recycling, we had no idea how many wonderful ideas we would receive. The likeable character from our animated film „1,001 ideas for the green, liveable city of tomorrow“ inspired over 100 people of all ages to come up with creative names.
The NEW LIFE jury had a correspondingly difficult choice. The suggestions ranged from poetic to playful, from creative to melodious. The shortlist included Circula, ELTy, Gummella, Recylia, Rubina and Tyrella. In the end, a clear majority of the jury members were enchanted by a name suggestion that combined everything: the connection to tyres („Tire“), beauty of sound and a touch of magic - TIRELLA was born.
A big thank you to all participants! Your ideas show how much passion, environmental awareness and imagination there is in our community. As a token of appreciation, the winner will receive a very special reward: a giant turtle made of recycled rubber granulate from NEW LIFE partner KRAIBURG Relastec, which is already on its way.
